Sondai Fort

Sondai is rarely visited but popular fort near Karjat Chowk Phata. This Trek starts from Sondewadi village based nine kilometers from Karjat railway station. In monsoon you will see beautiful view of Morbe Dam, Prabalgad, Irshalgad, Rajmachi, Songiri fort, Karnala Fort, and mountain range of Matheran. Sondai Fort used to be a place from where monitoring was done in surrounding area to protect the trade routes. Sondewadi and Wavarle are the base villages of Sondai fort.
